Dear Alumni, Parents, and Friends:

Just over nine years ago, a group of community leaders came together with Monsignor Joe H. Crosthwait and Monsignor Edward Randall. We took a giant leap of faith and were joined by many others who believed in our leadership team and shared our purpose and our vision for the future. We made a promise for the future to establish one of the very few lay-sponsored Catholic high schools.

Together, we built and opened Pope John XXIII High School, the first new Catholic high School in the Houston area in over 40 years – a refreshing new model of hope for the future of Catholic secondary education.

Promises Kept

We stand at an exciting point in the history of Pope John XXIII High School. We have come a long way in the five years since we first opened our doors. This year marks our second graduating class, and while we have 100% college acceptance, over 90% of our graduates have been accepted into the college of their first choice.

Through an academically excellent and challenging program that consists of a college preparatory curriculum with Advanced Placement opportunities, competitive extracurricular activities, and rigorous faith and character formation, our students achieve outstanding academic results and are also prepared for a life of service to God, family, andcommunity.

The Future

The same leadership team that has ushered Pope John XXIII High School from an idea to its second graduating class stands ready to build on the promises we have made and kept. Having overcome the challenges and obstacles that come with establishing a new school, we are prepared to move forward on the next phase of growth.

We are facing some exciting new opportunities and challenges. In response, we have created an inspiring vision for the future rooted in a comprehensive plan and sound financial model. We have identified several investment priorities that must be funded to secure the future of Pope John XXIII High School.

Over the next five years, we will build on our recent enrollment growth, expand our facilities to enhance the educational experience of students and accommodate the planned enrollment growth, and broaden the extracurricular and athletic offerings of the school in order to increase the opportunities for our current enrollment and attract additional students. We will also add the required faculty, staff, and administrators to maintain the personalized attention, family atmosphere and educational excellence that are the hallmarks of Pope John XXIII High School.

With your help, we will capitalize on the opportunities being presented by the West Houston-Katy high growth corridor -- a growing population, a growing Catholic church, and a growing commitment to Catholic secondary education.

Join us today and make an investment in the future of Pope John XXIII High School!

Sincerely,
